Estate Tempranillo

We have one acre of Tempranillo planted on our Estate. The vineyard runs East to West and is trained bilaterally with a sprawling vertical shoot position that provides good airflow and light into the fruiting zone without the fruit being fully sun exposed. The vineyard was planted in 2007 and we have gotten more excited each year about the quality and character coming out of the vineyard. Tempranillo is one of our more cooperative varietals in the vineyard when pruned correctly and farmed for quality. We farm sustainably and rarely water the vines except to maintain canopy during ripening.
